叠层制造领域中的STL模型平滑处理技术

摘要: 由于STL格式容易生成且不需复杂的CAD系统支持,已发展为叠层制造领域的数据交换标准,但STL模型的精度与其数据文件的尺寸之间存在严重矛盾。提出并实现了一种既可用更高的精度和平滑度对STL模型截面轮廓进行重构,又可显著减小切片文件数据量的最优双圆弧拟合技术。工艺试验证明:与传统的直线段(圆弧)拟合技术相比,采用了切片轮廓最优双圆弧重构技术的叠层制造系统可加工出具有更高成形精度、表面光滑度的成形件,且无需严格的STL模型毗邻误差。

Abstract: the STL file is easy to generate and does not require sophisticated CAD system for support, it has become a standard file format for the layered manufacturing, but there is a trade-off between the accuracy and file size of the STL file.Presents a max-fit biarc curve fitting technique to reconstruct STL slicing data with higher accuracy and to decrease the file size remarkably. Technics experimentations show that the proposed biarc curve fitting technique can significantly improve the accuracy of parts by smoothing the intersection points for layered manufacturing and require less strict adjacency tolerance while compared with the traditional linear and/or circular arc fitting technique.
