Review and Prospect for Design Theory and Methodology Research

摘要: 分析设计和制造领域相关文献的主题和关键词,梳理设计理论与方法研究的发展历程;分析制造技术与信息技术同设计理论之间的关系,从时间上将设计理论研究的发展分为四个阶段。从产品全生命周期阶段的角度对广泛使用的设计理论与方法进行分类总结,阐述各类方法的概念、特点及应用范围。从设计过程表达、设计知识管理以及设计评价决策的角度,总结促进设计理论进步的关键技术。最后从面向复杂系统的设计、人工智能与设计以及环境友好的绿色设计三个方面对未来研究趋势进行展望。

Abstract: The development process of design theory and methodology has been reviewed by analyzing the themes and keywords in the literature on design and manufacturing. The development of design theory research is divided into four stages through investigating the relationship between manufacturing technology, information technology, and design theory. From the perspective of the product life cycle, the most widely used design theories and methodologies have been categorized and summarized, and their concepts, characteristics, and scopes of applications have been discussed. The primary techniques used to advance design theory have been outlined from the perspectives of design process representation, design knowledge management, and design evaluation. Finally, the future research trends are prospected from three aspects: design for complex systems, design with artificial intelligence, and environmentally friendly design.
