摘要: 现有燃料电池与半导体耦合系统的研究中,为了方便计算,通常会忽略汤姆逊效应的存在,影响结果的精确性。以磷酸盐燃料电池(Phosphoric acid fuel cell,PAFC)与双级半导体热电发电器耦合的系统为研究对象,综合考虑汤姆逊效应、PAFC以及半导体的主要不可逆损失,推导出混合系统的功率、能量效率和效率表达式,探究燃料电池的工作温度、工作压力和热电元件对数对混合系统性能的影响,分析汤姆逊效应对混合系统性能的影响。结果表明,汤姆逊效应降低了混合系统的最大功率密度及其对应的能量效率和效率,降低比例分别是5.04%、1.21%和1.37%。考虑汤姆逊效应所得结果可为进一步探究PAFC与半导体热电发电器的混合系统性能提供理论依据。

Abstract: In the present researches about fuel cell-thermoelectric generator hybrid systems, Thomson effect is usually neglected for simple calculation, which results in a degree of imprecision. Thus, taking an integrated phosphoric acid fuel cell (PAFC) and two-stage semiconductor thermoelectric generator (TTEG) system as the objectives, Thomson effect and main irreversible losses from PAFC and TTEG are considered comprehensively to derive the formulas for power output, energy efficiency and exergy efficiency of the hybrid system. The effects of operating temperature, operating pressure and the number of the thermoelectric element on the performance characteristics of the hybrid system are investigated. The influence of Thomson effect on the hybrid system performance is analyzed. The results show that Thomson effect has negative impacts on the maximum power density as well as the corresponding energy and exergy efficiency of the hybrid system, and the reduction ratios are 5.04%, 1.21% and 1.37%, respectively. With Thomson effect taken into consideration, the results obtained can provide some theoretical bases for further exploring the performance of hybrid systems consisting of PAFC and semiconductor thermoelectric generators
