STRESS NUMERICAL SIMULATION AND THERMAL FATIGUE LIFE PREDICTION FOR SiCp_A356 COMPOSITE MATERIAL BRAKE DISC

Abstract: The experiments on the constitutive law and low-cycle fatigue life of SiCp_A356 composite material are carried out under room and elevated temperatures. Transient temperature field and stress-strain field of SiCp_A356 composite material brake disc during the emergency brake are simulated and the thermal fatigue life prediction method is studied. The thermal elasto-plastic finite element model is presented to simulate the multilinear kinematic hardening stress-strain relationship. The fatigue and creep damage analysis and life prediction model about the brake disc are presented relative to the load features, which will provide reference on design and application of high-speed rolling stock brake disc .
