摘要: 本文根据脆性材料断裂力学原理,用边界元方法,计算了切削玻璃时切削区内的应力场和裂纹扩展的路径,从而建立了两种玻璃切削模型,即大切削厚度的和小切削厚度的切削模型。这两种模型幸免被实验结果所证实。在这两种切削模型的基础上,本文提出了玻璃切削的通用模型。运用所建立起来的模型解释了不同形态切屑的形成机理、已加工表面形成的机理、切屑形态与表面粗糙度、切削力以及刀具磨损的关系。

Abstract: In this paper, according to the theory of brittle fracture and applying the Boundary Element Method the stress field and the propagating path of crack in the outing zone of glass cutting are calculated, and then two cutting models, one for large undeformed chip thickness and another for small punde formed chip thickness, have been constructed. These two models re verified by experimental results. Based on these two models the following topics are discussed and explained: The mechanism of the formation of various categories of chip; The mechanism of the formation of machined surface; The relation between the chip appearance and the machined surface roughness, cutting force, and the wear of outing tool.
