Influence of Material Properties of Magnetic Adjusting Ring on the Loss of Magnetic Gear

Abstract: As a new type of permanent magnet speed change device, magnetic field modulated permanent magnet gear is easy to produce large magnetic field loss, reduce the working efficiency of permanent magnet gear and limit the further improvement of its transmission capacity. An integrally formed power transmission magnetic adjusting ring is proposed to improve the torque transmission capacity. Combined with the performance test of permanent magnet gear, the losses of magnetic adjusting ring skeleton material and magnetic adjusting pole plate material are analyzed, the effects of three different magnetic ring bearing skeleton material parameters on the loss and efficiency of permanent magnet gear are studied, the permanent magnet gear parameters are optimized, and the optimal torque skeleton bearing material is determined. The results show that the adjustable magnetic ring skeleton material of special engineerinng plastic can greatly reduce the loss of permanent magnet gear and effectively improve the transmission efficiency.The measured transmission efficiency of permanent magnet gear can reach 93.8%.
