Abstract: In the 20th century, manufacturing industries created a great amount of wealth for mankind, but they also caused the serious environmental pollution. Therefore, the implement of green manufacturing will be imperative for the 21st century manufacturing industries. The implement of green manufacturing industries in the 21st century, which include the changes of pursuing goals from only economical benefit to integrated optimization of economical benefit and social benefit, the changes of the decision – making attributes from the three (Time, Quality, Cost) to the five (Time, Quality, Cost, Environmental impact and Resource consumption), the extension of product lifecycle and operation of product multi – lifecycle engineering, the innovation of the architecture of manufacturing systems, the formation of a lot of new industries, and so on.
