Abstract: For concurrent engineering, a new method of design knowledge representation-resource model is presented．According to propositional logic and set theory, the definitions of resource and operators between two resource are given．The definition of process of using resource is also given, and this process is explained as a recursive process. On the basis of the definitions above, some problems such as team work, tasks carried out parallelly, design knowledge reused and quality management etc,are described.
