Abstract: In this paper, the features on cavitation of precession squeeze oil film bearings have been investigated in detail and it is found that the conclusion for cavitation manner about this kind of bearing which made by Cole, Hughes and others in 1957 is not true. A oil-air two-phase fluid film model for such bearing and its governing equations are built. The relative analysis and calculations for such bearing are proceeded.
