Abstract: On the basis of the design demands of complicate mechanical products and the weaknesses of normal optimum design methods, some new ideas and methods are proposed, such as the stratified structure and modeling methods oriented to mechanical products, the stratified concurrent concentrated optimization strategy, etc. An integrated system of generalized design optimization oriented to the life-span of mechanical products is developed.
