Abstract: Experimental investigations on the flow fields of a typical blade profile cascades are carried out with different bowed angles. The exit flow fields of straight cascade and the positive bowed cascade with bowed angles +10°,+20°and +30°are investigated. The results show that for the present blade profile, with increasing of the bowed angle , the passage vortex is always near the endwall and the intensity does not change obviously, however intensity of the exit wake vortex increases and extends to the midspan of cascade obviously, the total energy losses at the endwall does not change obviously, however the total energy losses at the midspan increase sharply, so the total energy losses of the whole cascade increase by the increasing of the bowed angle and the energy losses of straight blade cascade is minimal.
