MODELING AND COMPENSATING FOR ERROR OF CMM BASED ON FEEDBACK INFORMATION OF THERMAL DEFORMATION

Abstract: Research on building neural network model of integrated thermal induced measuring coordinate errors for compensation, which takes characteristic information of the thermal profile and thermal deformation of the CMM together as input variables, and identifying the characteristic points of thermal deformation with adaptive resonance neural network ART2 model is made, and the type VIVA-860 CMM is taken for example and experimental research on building a model of integrated thermal induced measuring coordinate errors for compensation under the environment temperature of 15~25℃ is done, so that it has been verified that the new compensation strategy can increase the measuring coordinate accuracy more than four times under thermal conditions; which takes comprehensive utilization of the representative information of the thermal profile and the thermal deformation to build the model of integrated thermal induced coordinate errors for compensation. It opens a way by which the thermal induced coordinate errors are compensated comprehensively.
