ANALYSIS AND CALCULATION ON THE CHARACTERISTICS FOR RADIATIVE HEAT TRANSFER OF FLUE GAS WITH HIGH MOISTURE CONTENT

Abstract: The Edwards method is used to calculate the radiative heat transfer characteristics of high mass fraction of moisture gas using the narrow spectrum model. The results are compared to previous calculation methods to show that the Edwards method is sufficiently accurate and can be used for a larger class of problem than traditional methods, including the prediction of radiation characteristics of high mass fraction of moisture gas. The calculation results also show that for high mass fraction of moisture gas the temperature characteristics and the mean free path characteristic length related to the gas radiative characteristics vary in the same way as for low mass fraction of moisture gas, but the emission and absorption are greater.
