Abstract: Uniformity of granulometric compositions of grinding wheels has very strong influence on the abrasive machining properties. Effort has been made in this article for making a definition on uniformity and the technical principles for manufacturing grinding wheels with diverse uniformities. Scientific experiments and researches were made by means of cylindrical grinding machines,and the results show that grinding wheels with a higher content of basic fraction of grains have, some obvious superiorities both in improving grinding qualities and in raising grinding capacity.
