Abstract: Hammering energy is the most important parameter of an air rammer. To ensure the practical performance, the designer should carry out an effective calculation. The paper deals with traditional calculation method of air rammer energy. Some commends and discussions on its computing principle are come up. Now calculation formula’s are derived. This new method given makes the tedious engineering ca-culation simple and practical. In this paper, various chock data of an example are given. The calculating result is consistent with that from monitor, which verifies the comments of the paper.
