Abstract: On-line detection of 2-dimension spark locations by electrode potential difference method in electrical discharge machining (EDM) is studied. Relation equation between potential difference and 2-dimension spark location under a cuboidal electrode is induced, and its diagram of curve is drawn. Especially, when y = 0, the theoretic and the experimental results of 1-dimension are compared.
