跑道形线圈EMAT有限元建模与声场特性研究

Research on Racetrack Coil EMAT FE Model and Sound Field Characteristics

摘要: 跑道形线圈是EMAT的一种重要线圈类型,由其构成的EMAT在超声测厚及探伤中具有重要应用,同时它也是EMAT阵列换能器的主要阵元类型。辐射声场特性是电磁超声换能器重要特性之一,研究跑道形线圈形状尺寸对其构成的EMAT辐射声场的影响规律,是对换能器进行设计和开发检测工艺的基础。利用有限元仿真软件建立跑道形线圈EMAT的电-磁-声多场耦合模型,对其辐射声场进行了仿真建模计算,分析了跑道形线圈EMAT辐射声场特性及线圈宽度对其辐射声场的影响规律,并搭建了EMAT辐射声场试验测量系统,测量了跑道形线圈EMAT的辐射声场。研究结果表明跑道形线圈EMAT辐射声场整体呈现蝶形分布,且随着线圈的整体宽度变大,由其构成的EMAT的辐射声场幅度值随之增高,而声场宽度随之变窄。

Abstract: The racetrack coil is an important coil type of EMAT. This kind of EMAT has has a wide range of applications in ultrasonic thickness measurement and flaw detection. And it is also the basic element of EMAT linear array transducer. The radiated sound field is the most significant characteristic of the ultrasonic transducer. To find out the influence of the shape and the size of the racetrack coil on the EMAT radiated sound field is the basis for the transducer design and detection process development. The electro-magnetic-acoustic multi-field coupling model of the racetrack coil EMAT is established, and calculating the radiated sound field by finite element model. Analyzing.the sound field characteristics of the racetrack coil EMAT and the influence of the EMAT radiated sound field by coil width.Then setting up the EMAT radiation sound field experimental measurement system,and measuring the radiated sound field of the racetrack coil EMAT. This research reveals that the EMAT radiated sound field of the racetrack coil exhibits a butterfly distribution in the far field, and as the coil width increases, the amplitude of the radiated sound field increases and the width becomes narrower.
