电流变液在电场中受挤压时的力学行为

摘要: 研究了电流变液的准静态挤压过程,测试了在不同外加电场下挤压时电流变液所能承受的压缩应力随压缩量的变化曲线,并利用由Williams等人基于广义双粘度模型推导出的电流变液压缩应力与屈服切应力之间的关系式计算了压缩应力随压缩量的变化,其结果与试验测试的曲线基本吻合,说明电流变液受挤压时的力学行为可以用双粘度流体力学理论作出较准确的描述和预测。

Abstract: Quasi-static squeezing process of electrorheologi-cal(ER) fluid is studied. The mean compressive stress of ER fluid during squeezing process is measured under different electric fields. The Williams' s squeeze theory based on the generalized bi-viscous model is applied to calculate the variation of compressive stress with the amount of compression. It is found that the experimental and theoretical curves agree with each other, implying that the theoretical description of squeeze process of ER fluid is fairly reasonable.
