Abstract: This paper presents a method of strength calculation for open-web truss type crane bridge, this method has been successfully applied on the products designs since 1963. The other calculating methods presented by foreign authors are also evaluated in this paper.Because of the results of this paper had been adopted by 'The Handbook for Crane Design" [10],therefore it can be considered as a descriptive material for this handbook.
