Abstract: In this paper-n formula is derived oh the basis of the theory of elasticity to onleuinte the residual stresses of the weld by measuring the Change of strains before and nfter drilling a small hale on the weld, and this paper also deals in detail with the technique of this method. The distribution curves of residual stresses of the slot weld are also given in this paper.
