水玻璃砂新硬化剂的探讨

摘要: 由硅酸胶凝的特性曲线,即“N”形曲线推知,控制硅酸溶液的PH值,即可控制其胶凝时间。故在水玻璃溶液中加入适量的盐酸或氯化钙以降低其PH值,必然能够得到符合生产所需的型砂硬化时间。初步实验证明,上述两种硬化剂可以考虑在生产中试验应用,这不仅可节省大量二氧化碳以降低型砂造价,并为铸工生产流程实现机械化自动化提供可能的条件。但完全地脱离吹冷二氧化碳,使型砂自动硬化的工艺还需作进一步的研究。

Abstract: From the characteristic curve of gelation of silicic acid of N-Shape, it is possible to control the time of gelation by varying the pH of the solution. When a suitable amount of hydrochloric acid or calcium chloride is added to the water glass solution to lower its pH to a definite value, the moulding sand with which the solution is mixed, Will harden at a definite time corresponding to that particular pH value as demanded by actual production operation. Results of preliminary experiments indicate that both of the two above named hardeners may be tried in actual practice when their use is adopted; it not only saves large amounts of carbon dioxide gas, but also makes possible the mechanization and automatic operaion of the casting process.
