Abstract: In this paper, the author reviews the two present methods (by bending and by torsion) for calculating the frame of vehicles and sets forth his own opinion from the practical point of view. Next the author analyses the defects of the frame of truck Zis-150 basing upon the operating experiences of many transportation organizations in China and the road tests data of the Stalin Automobile Manufactory USSR and the First Automobile Manufactory of China.Finally, the improvements of the construction of frame and its existing problems are discussed.
