基于横刃轴向力的CFRP钻孔分层临界进给量研究

Study on Critical Feed Rate of Delamination Based on Thrust Force of Chisel Edge during CFRP Drilling

摘要: 为避免或减少钻削出口分层缺陷,控制钻削轴向力不超过出口分层临界轴向力具有重要的实际意义。将钻头横刃上的轴向力分为两部分,其一是横刃前刀面与碳纤维增强复合材料(Carbon fiber reinforced polymers,CFRP)之间作用力的轴向分量,其二是横刃圆弧与CFRP接触力的轴向分量。基于复合材料的细观力学理论和Hoffman强度准则,推导了横刃前刀面上作用力的轴向分量计算公式。将横刃与碳纤维的接触视为正交圆柱体的接触,导出了Hertz接触力轴向分量的计算公式。将两个轴向力求和,构成了横刃上轴向力的计算模型。以试验数据为基础,确定横刃轴向力占总轴向力的比值,建立钻削轴向力、分层临界轴向力和钻削工艺参数之间的联系,导出了以横刃轴向力为基础的钻孔出口分层临界进给量的计算模型,通过钻削试验和有限元仿真验证了模型的可靠性。该研究工作对合理选择钻削工艺参数和预防分层缺陷具有指导作用。

Abstract: For minimizing or avoiding the exit delamination defect during drilling carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRP), the thrust force control has practical value due to the existence of critical force. This research divided the thrust force on chisel edge into two parts, one is the axial component of the acting force between the rake face of chisel edge and CFRP, another is the axial component of contact force between the arc circle arc of chisel edge and CFRP. For the former, the calculation formula is deduced based on the meso-mechanics theory and Hoffman strength criterion; and the mechanical model of the latter are analyzed by using Hertz contact theory, the contact between chisel edge and the carbon fiber are regarded as the orthogonal cylindrical contact. The sum of the two part consist the thrust force on chisel edge during drilling. The proportion of thrust force on chisel edge in the whole cutting edge is determined by experimental data, the relationship between the thrust force, critical thrust force of delamination defect and drilling cutting parameter are established. The reliability of the analytical model is verified by drilling experiment and finite element modeling (FEM) analysis. The research plays a guiding role on reasonable selection of drilling parameter and prevention of delamination defect during drilling CFRP.
