Wafer Seal Servo Model under Distorted Engine Panel

Abstract: Aimed at wafer seal developed for removable engine panel and restricted with distorted engine panel condition, theoretical servo model under spring force is established in consideration of real panel distortion. Based on reasonable assumption, working conditions of bridge element and wafers are analyzed, the exist of leakage gap and suspension gap is proved. The computing method of size and distribution of wafer seal gap are obtained under working conditions mentioned above, geometry boundary conditions can be provided to fluid-thermal-solid interaction research of wafer seal. Influence factors of wafer seal servo effect, such as thickness of wafers, stiffness of the bridge element and parameters of springs are discussed, it is pointed out that leakage gap decreases monotonically with the decrease of the thickness of wafer, the suspension gap decreases with the decrease with the elastic modulus and the moment of inertia of the section, and decreases linearly with the increase of the stiffness and number of springs.
