PREDICTION FOR THREE-DIMENSION FATIGUE CRACK DYNAMIC GROWTH BY GRAY SYSTEM PREDICTION MODEL

Abstract: Based on the viewpoint of system and the effect analysis of exterior factor on fatigue crack growth such as corrosion depth, high-load coefficient, loading cycle, and so on, the grey system prediction model is established and applied to the dynamic prediction for three-dimension growth of fatigue crack and the effect factor analysis. The grey model and residual difference model to the dynamic prediction for three-dimension growth of fatigue crack are presented and applied to match and predict some certain testpieces’ three-dimension dynamic growth of fatigue crack. The result shows that the model matches well and the prediction precision is high.
