Abstract: In order to meet the requirement of field super-size measurement in equipment manufacturing industry, multi-station network space positioning system based on laser scanning is studied, focusing on the calibration methods and algorithms. An offline integrative calibration method using auxiliary equipment and known control points is proposed through establishing the geometrical model according to the measuring principle and geometrical structure of the system. The inner parameters of stations and external parameters between stations can be obtained through the calibration process which intuitively verifying the feasibility of the system. On the basis of this, analytical model is built to improve precision and enhance adaptability. Via optimizing classification of parameters by taking subtle adjustments of inner parameters to get the original rotation angle in the meanwhile of solving external parameters and designing the low accuracy target to set up the coordinate system transformation between stations and target, thus a convenient and effective method of initial estimates is achieved, and a global calibration algorithm based on adjustment is realized finally. Experiment results show that compared with integrative calibration method, adjustment calibration is faster, more practical and has higher accuracy. Measuring accuracy of the system can reach 0.1 mm, which can satisfy most industrial and military field use requirements.
