NUMERICAL SIMULATION ON THE SINTERING PROCESS OF CERAMICS PRODUCTS

Abstract: A simulation method of ceramics products in sintering is firstly proposed by using rigid-plastic finite element method of compressibility material. The concept of driving force of shrink is used in this model. Comparing the simulation result with experiment, a good identity of results has been reached. In applied instance of complicated shape of product after sintering, the cause of shape distortion is analyzed by using this simulation method. This research accomplishment will be a great help to improve the quality of ceramics sintering product, reduce the revising value of the shape after sintering, and reduce the manufacturing cost of the product.
