Abstract: The non-equilibrium segregation of manganese to austenite grain boundaries in Mn cryogenic steels is investigated. It includes the effect of manganese content, solution treatment temperature and cooling rate on the non-equilibrium segregation of manganese and condition of segregation formation. The segregation of alloying elements (Cr, Mo, B) and the effect of these elements on the manganese segregation is investigated. The non-equilibrium segregation of manganese is determined by both AES and TEM-EDS. And the micro-distribution of B atom is showed by PTA technique. The kinetic process of non-equilibrium segregation of manganese and alloying elements is discussed. Reasonable agreement is found between the prediction of the discussion and experimental results.
