Abstract: Further research on the mechanism in membrane micro-filtration, RNG k-e turbulent model is adopted to a numerically simulating the three dimensional turbulent rotary cross-flow flow field of a tubular micro-filtration membrane separator. The simulated results for the distribution laws of the flow field and pressure in the tubular micro-filtration membrane separator annular gap are obtained. The results are compared with the experimental data measured by PIV system of laser particle image. And also they are compared with the experimental data measured by a self-developing on-line pressure measuring system for the annular gap of a tubular membrane separator with the aid of computer. This system has high precision by using advanced software developing tools, such as Delphi and Access 2000. The pressure distribution laws in the annular gap of the tubular membrane separator with rotary cross-flow are measured by it. The model prediction pressure distributions agree with experimental measurements.
