Abstract: A new method is used for research of the dynamic characteristics of slipper pair oil film in axial piston pump. Firstly, modeling is carried out for the flow-pressure negative feedback regulation system composed of fixed damping and variable damping of hydrostatic slipper pair bearing. Then this is taken as boundary condition for researching the coupling relationship between the force/torque exerted on the slipper and the model of slipper pair overturning oil film. Finally, through Matlab programming, the simulation model of slipper pair oil film coupling relationship is built. Newton iteration method is used to solve the nonlinear equations of oil film model, thus dynamically displaying the characteristics of slipper pair oil film, so as to analyze the nature of slipper overturning phenomenon and the influence of spring pre-pressing force on the slipper overturning. By using the principle of three points defining a plane, the model of oil film thickness-field is built with the values of oil film thicknesses at three points. The simulation results show that the greatest slipper overturning is at the transition from oil sucking area to oil discharging area in the plunger cavity. And when the slipper structure is constant, slipper overturning range can be reduced by increasing the spring pre-pressing force.
