Abstract: The concept of fixture-free manufacturing and the new manufacturing mode of fixing-searching-machining are presented. The information flow modes and control methods of fixture-free manufacturing as well as the schems of solving the key problems in system building are given. The experimental system and experimental result are introduced. The results of theoretical analysis and experiment show that the presented fixture-free manufacturing method is feasible.
