Abstract: Non-destructive testing and condition monitoring of nuclear power plants using different sensors are of great significance to ensure the safe and stable operation of nuclear power plants. Based on the background of new sensor technology, a comprehensive review of non-destructive testing, condition monitoring and sensor system optimization methods for nuclear power plants is provided. While studying many methods of mainstream ultrasonic testing, a comparative analysis of other nondestructive testing methods is also conducted. In addition, a new nuclear power plant condition monitoring method based on fiber optic sensing is summarized, and the applicability of different fiber optic materials in the measurement of state parameters is discussed. Moreover, the optimization and condition monitoring methods of large-scale complex nuclear power plant sensing systems are analyzed. Finally, the development of advanced industrial Internet and artificial intelligence technology on the non-destructive testing and condition monitoring of nuclear power plants are considered, and expectations for future development are given.
