Abstract: In order to study the characteristics of horizontal semi-cylindrical vortex generator, through the numerical simulation method of horizontal rectangular channel installed semi-cylindrical vortex generators are studied heat transfer and flow resistance characteristics. The results show that:Under the same Reynolds number Re,horizontal rectangular channel installed semi-cylindrical vortex generator heat transfer better than rectangular smooth passage, but the drag coefficient is not less than smooth passage. Compare the comprehensive performance indicators,6/8H stare blankly strengths the comprehensive features of PEC value maximum. Through analysis of field synergy theory, collaborative number Fc rectangle smooth passage and four different flute length of the horizontal semi-cylindrical vortex generators are decreased with the increase of Reynolds number Re,and the change tendency is becoming more and more gentle, eventually gradually tend to be constant value. Under the same Reynolds number Re,long stare blankly is 6/8H coordination number of Fc is the largest.
