Abstract: Tire cornering mechanical properties with large camber cannot be accurately described without considering the key factors changed by the camber. Based on the simple brush model, the tire lateral force model under steady-state side-slip and camber condition is proposed to derive the boundary conditions for semi-empirical model. The variation of cornering stiffness and frictional coefficient that the camber brings to the cornering mechanical properties are analyzed by the method of qualitative analysis and experimental observation and then the corresponding models are proposed. According to the boundary conditions, the impact between the lateral curvature factor of the steady-state UniTire lateral force model and camber is analyzed so that the new lateral curvature factor is proposed. The revised steady-state UniTire lateral force model is verified by the tire test data and the results show that it has good prediction capability and suits for large camber.
