Abstract: Due to light weight, high strength and so many other advantages, composites are widely used. However inevitably there will also be damages when used for a few time. The problem of repairing damaged composite plates has become an issue that need to be solved soon. In the actual applications, the common processing method to the damaged composite plates is sticking a patch with bond. Using ANSYS parametric design language, the same model as the preference is set up and calculated with three dimensional progressive damage theory and various failure forms as the basis. The program which sets up the model and the calculation are proved correct comparing with them. Then semi-penetrated and penetrated repaired models of composite plates are set up. Then we calculate these repaired models with different parameters under the tensile load. The failure process of the damaged and repaired model is simulated. The most typical three groups of data are listed for comparing. These models with different sizes of the repair patches are calculated. The influence of bonded repairing composite plates on different failure forms for each layer is obtained at last
