Abstract: The reentrainment of the deposited particle aggregates is an important phenomenon in the process of trapping and sampling of diesel engine exhaust particles. The reentrainment control factors of the ellipsoidal deposited particle aggregates in the pipe flow are analyzed based on the reentrainment static models of the ellipsoidal deposited particle aggregates. The analysis emphasis is the effect of the aggregates configuration on the reentrainment control factors. The calculation results show that the configuration of the aggregates, adhesion angle, average flow velocity and tube diameter have important effect on the reentrainment of diesel engine exhaust particle aggregates in the pipe flow, and the influence law of adhesion angle, average flow velocity and tube diameter are understood through the analysis. The results of this research have important meaning on the understanding and control of the reentrainment of diesel engine exhaust deposited particle aggregates in the pipe flow.
