Abstract: Fretting damage is widely present in various engineering machinery and mechanical structures, and contact pressure, slip amplitude and frictional shear traction are most important parameters of fretting damage. The shrink-fit components usually suffer fretting damage in the contact surface under rotating bending load, which remarkably reduce the life of the components. Aiming at the specimen under shrink-fit fretting fatigue test, a finite element model of the specimen is established in the code ABAQUS, including contact algorithm. The influences of casing length, casing thickness, frictional coefficient and interference value on contact pressure, frictional shear traction are analyzed. The results show that frictional coefficient, casing thickness and casing length have significant effect on the stress singularity of the contact edge, and frictional coefficient also effect the slip regime greatly.
