Abstract: According to the quick charging characteristic of nickel-hydrogen battery and the generating characteristic of ISG(Integrated starter/generator) motor acquired by test, the changing rules of motor generating and battery charging efficiency are analyzed, synthesis efficiency curves of battery and motor under different input condition are obtained, then a joint optimal high-efficiency working line of battery and motor is determined. Based on the optimal working line, CVT speed control strategy and regenerative braking control strategy are established, and the model of regenerative braking system of CVT hybrid electric vehicle is built. Simulation analysis and test verification are carried out under typical city driving cycles. The results show that the CVT control strategy based on the optimal working line of battery and motor can further improve the recover rate of regenerative braking energy in comparison to that based on motor working alone.
