Abstract: The marine rudder electrohydraulic load simulator system has not only big output force but also large flow because it can simulate enormous hydraulic-dynamic load. In order to demand for meeting large flow and eliminate the superfluous force, the dual-valve parallel connected control scheme is proposed. The dual-valve consisted of large flow 3-stage high-response flow servo valve and p-qV servo valve. The marine rudder electrohydraulic load simulator is modeled. The model of p-qV servo valve is analyzed and simplified. The dual-valve real-time control system is proposed. Compared with the experimental curves of dual-valve parallel connected control and single flow servo valve control, it is indicated that the former can more effectively eliminate superfluous force and improve dynamic load performance index than the latter when the rudder system starts, stops and changes direction.
