STRENGTH STUDY AND NUMERICAL SIMULATION FOR THE CENTRAL PARTITION IN SPIRAL HEAT EXCHANGER

Abstract: The theoretical and experimental studies on the strength of the central partition in spiral heat exchanger are carried on. The formulas of the bending stress, the shearing stress and the maximum stress of the central partition are obtained. The experimental stress is consistent with the theoretical stress and the numerical simulation. The formula of the central partition thickness is derived, which has been adopted by the standard of spiral heat exchanger.
