Abstract

Abstract: The contact fatigue properties of sulphidized coatings are studied. 45 steel was sulphidized after quenched and tempered, and then tested for their contact fatigue resistance on JP-52 tester. The result shows that the service life of sulphidized samples increased about 1 time compared with that of unsulphidized samples. The effects of elements to contact fatigue properties were analyzed such as contact stress, lubricant, surface defect and roughness, etc.
