Abstract: By FEM, simulate and calculate the microstress in grain and grainboundary hard-shell of high Mn in different Mn segregation levels. The results show that the extent of grainboundary stress concentration will increase greatly as the grainboundary concentration of Mn element and the thickness of the hard-shell increase. The hard shell due to grainboundary segregation of Mn element is very harmful to the fracture property of high Mn steel, and the simulation computation confirms that the grainboundary stress concentration is the main reason of brittle fracture in high Mn steel.
