Abstract: A developed measuring system and test method of green sand properties are introduced. By means of measuring the standard molding sand specimens, the dynamic curves of stress-strain can be quickly and accurately plotted out and several parameters, which represent the characteristics of molding sand, can be tested during the process of pressive deformation. In this brand new method of property measurement two new concepts of viscoelastic parameter and plastic deformation threshold are put forward.
