ANALYSIS FOR ROLL FORMING PROCESSES BY USING THE ELASTIC-PLASTIC SPLING-FINITE STRIP METHOD

Abstract

Abstract: Roll forming processes are analyzed, by using the large deflection elastic-plastic spling-finite strip method. By means of this method, the deforming shape of sheet metal interstand of rollers and the distribution of transvertsal and longitudinal strain and stress are calculated. Compaired with the experimental results, theoretioal results are correct and reliable. It lays the foundation for the CAD/CAM of forming rollers.
