Abstract: In this paper, it is given that a differential equation on elastic deformation of grinding process which is affected by the changes of grinding wheel wear and grinding ability. Based on the equation, the changes of basis parameters and initial runout of workpiece in grinding process are analysed. The changes of basic parameters and initial runout of workpiece in grinding process are analysed. The changes of basis parameters and initial runout of workpiece during plunge grinding process are studied by testing. The relation of infeed velocity with residue error of workplace is also studied.
