Abstract: This paper mainly deals with the calculation of the profile curve of a combinatory cam by using the envelope method of differential geometry for the design of different contact types of combinatory cam mechanisms and a set of complete and accurate calculation formulae. This calculation of the profile curve of a combinatory cam is easy to use and provide a theoretical basis for design and manufacture.
