S2 STREAM SURFACE DESIGN PROGRAM FOR STEAM TURBINE

Abstract: Based upon Wu's S2 stream surface equation, the steam turbine design program was presented. The main equation using steam function, employing no orthogonal curvilinear coordinates and no orthogonal velocity components, includes the influence of blade fosse, blade thickness and entropy. This program alone can be used to design steam turbine in some simple cases and also can be applied for 3D design with comminuting s1 calculating. As a sample, the optimum 200 MW L. P. steam turbine of Harbin Steam Factory was calculated and the effects of blade fosse, blade thickness and entropy were analyzed.
