Abstract: Aiming at the problem of quantitative evaluation of accuracy retentivity, the accuracy degradation rate (ADR) evaluation index is proposed and combined with accuracy life (AL) to quantitatively evaluate accuracy retentivity. In terms of accuracy degradation mechanism analysis, the standardized analysis process of manufacturing and assembling error items influencing the meta-action accuracy and accuracy retentivity is proposed, then based on these items’ variation mechanism caused by looseness, abrasion, deformation and aging, a generalized three-stage analysis method of degradation mechanism analysis is proposed and residual accuracy life and accuracy life cycle are defined. Meta-action is used to illustrate the evaluation and analysis method proposed and the example of accuracy degradation caused by residual stress is used to verify the feasibility. The evaluation and analysis method provides new thought and reference for the research of mechanical products’ accuracy-related quality characteristics.
