Abstract: According to the development and changes in global manufacturing market, the manufacturing innovation project is discussed, a new viewpoint of manufacturing pattern transformation is presented. It is also concerned with objectives of flexible automation in current manufacturing environment. Today, a rapidly changing market askes manufacturing enterprises to transform from "mass production of a single product" into "flexible and changeable volumes of large variety of products". The manufacturing automation objectives coupling with this new pattern is flexible automation.
