摘要： 分析了制造业的历史地位、现在的形势和未来发展趋势。从制造业创造了人类，制造业是产业革命的主力军，浪漫与现实，可靠的现代化，安全的现代化等方面论述了制造业对现代化的重要作用。

Abstract: The historical status, current condition and future development trend of the manufacturing industry(MI)are analysed. The important role of MI in the modernization is explained from viewpoints that：MI creats the human; MI is the main force to the industrial revolution; romantic and realistic; reliable modernization; safe modernization, etc.
